One of the important think to Making Fiber cement Board , Chemicals/ Additives is i.e
Polyelectrolite
the Function as ;
Coagulation -
Coagulation is the reduction of the repellant forces between particles such
that they no longer repel one another.
Flocculation -
Flocculation is combining or forming a “bridge” between the neutralized
particles to produce discrete agglomerates.
Filtration -
Filtration is the trapping of the agglomerated particles in the forming sheet.
Why needed Polyelectrolite ???
Many an anionic and cationic material in the system of material processing to making Fiber Cement Board. The sources will come from
- Fibres and Fines
- Residual Unbleaching Pulp ; Dissolved lignin, pitch and hemicellulose
- Additives; Contaminants cycle up in the process making the pulp especially with increased
the closed loop process.
- Filler / Binder : Powder silica, Cement or others
Material of Polyelectrolite - FLOREN 1669, or FLOREN series
